is a Chinese 3D fantasy action-comedy adventure film released in 2015. The movie was directed by Raman Hui, who made his feature debut, and written and produced by Alan Yuen. The film stars Bai Baihe and Jing Boran as lead actors. It was released in China on July 16, 2015, in 3D and IMAX 3D. When it was released, it broke several box office records, including becoming the highest-grossing film in China before being overtaken by “The Mermaid” in 2016. “Monster Hunt” was later released in North America on January 22, 2016, in both 2D and 3D formats by FilmRise. The film has a runtime of 1 hour and 57 minutes.
Plot
Somewhere, there exists a world where humans and monsters are at war. A baby is born with the potential to unite them, but its parents must protect it from dangerous threats.
