Plot

Max, Thor, and Lucas are best friends entering sixth grade. They have faced their problems at this point. Max has a fall in love with his classmate Brixlee. Lucas knows that his parents are going to get divorced. Thor is being bullied in his school, which makes it hard for them to follow his passion for singing. A popular classmate called Soren organized a party. Max considered this as an opportunity to confess his love to Brixlee, and it may lead to a kiss. To learn about kissing, these boys decided to spy on teenage neighbor Hannah with the help of Max’s father’s valued drone. The plan failed miserably and caused them problems. What will happen to Max, Thor, and Lucas? Will they be able to manage the failed plan? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Jacob Tremblay, as Max, did an incredible performance in the movie. Her journey to find his love in school was relatable. His acting was impressive in the film. Brady Noon, as Thor, was brilliant. His detailing of the character was outstanding. He shows how bullying affects children. He was perfect for his role. Keith L. Williams, as Lucas, did a fantastic performance in the movie. He leads the nature of a young teenager who is facing problems due to his parent’s divorce. His acting in the film was factual and natural. One would hate Molly Gordon, as Hannah, after watching this movie. That much impact she made in the whole film. Her appearance as a drug addict teenager was scary and, horrifying. She played it very well. She did a remarkable performance in the movie. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, funny, and entertaining. The film focus on the central theme of the coming of age of teenagers. The film focuses on how teenagers fall in love, face bullying and its effects, and how their parents’ divorce affects them. The film also shows how strong friendship is between teenagers. The funny nature of the movie is maintained from the start till the end. The film has freshness in the storyline. The storyline in the film was good but lacked uniqueness. It represents what most coming-of-age Films do. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The Dialogues were excellent. The scripting was well structured and framed in the film.
