Animated Spider-Man is to be produced by Lego Director Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The movie is expected to run in theaters in 2018, though the exact date has not been finalised yet. Kristine Belson, the chairperson of Sony Pictures Animation, has claimed that this upcoming animated movie will set new precedents for the image of Spider-Man.

Belson further asserts that the visual effects and screenplay in this film are different from the usual, and the viewers can expect a lot from this movie. According to her, the concept of this picture will set all new standards for a superhero film. The Spider-man franchise has become the logo of Sony series and hence, Belson cannot be just boosting around this project. Tom Rothman, the Chairman of Sony Pictures, spoke briefly about this film in Las Vegas.

Rothman stated that the project is in co-existence with the Spiderman cosmos. It has been in the news that Lord and Miller have been working on this project to live up to the expectations of the viewers. The film is expected to run in theaters from July 20, 2018. But before the release of this movie Spider- Man will appear in Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War”.

Though Rothman has asserted that the project will run in co- existence with the usual Spider- Man series but as per the latest headlines this venture will exist independently of the other live- action Spider- Man sequence.
