Chandana Hewapathirana is a director who’s known for his film Sapthembaraye Digu Dawasak. Through this film he was nominated at the 2021 Sumathi Award for the best teledrama director. He is also a writer and wrote the song Sudu Hansayo which also won the award for the best teledrama song. Chandana was born in Colombo in 1970. He currently lives in Sri Lanka. Apart from directing, Chandana is also an artist. He has been in the field of art for more than 30 years. He specializes in abstract art and realisms.
