Thivya Sujen was born & raised in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where she spent her whole childhood and is still residing. She received her educational degree from CIMA Sri Lanka and went to Ramanathan Hindu Ladies College. Thivya Sujen is a certified Bharatnatyam dancer and received her dance training from Tanjavur Tamil University. She has a certification in MBA- Business of Administration from ICBT Campus. Thivya Sujen is working as a dancer and the founding director at Abhinayakshetra School of Dance.
She is also working as an assistant manager for Lanka Ashok Leyland PLC. Besides, Thivya Sujen founded Global Association of Srilankan Bharathanatyam Artistes. She is also working as a choreographer and a writer. She came as a judge on the Sinhala Television show Ritzbury Picture Princes 2023. Thivya Sujen is a happy-living married woman.
