Written By - Team Nettv4u

Vinu Udani Siriwardana, a Sri Lankan actress, model, and TV host, was born on March 10, 1992. She rose to fame by competing in the "Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2012" pageant, where she tied with Sumudu Prasadini for first place. Sanu is Vinu's older brother, and Ruvi is her younger sister; they are two of three children. She studied at Anula Vidyalaya and is now a resident of Colombo. She wed economics lecturer Kasun Liyanage in 2020.

Vinu is notable for having received the Nelson Mandela Peace Award in 2019 and for being the Friday host of "Hada Redi Peya." She hopes to someday write a book. A calculation error caused her victory in the "Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2012" competition to initially be shared with Sumudu Prasadini. Later, it was made clear that Vinu would get accolades like "Miss Talent" and "Sunday Observer Most Popular Contestant," while Sumudu would represent Sri Lanka at Miss World 2012.

Vinu competed in divisions including "Best in Talent" and "Best National Costume" while representing Sri Lanka in the 18th Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International pageant. In the former, she reached the top 10, and in the latter, the top 25. Vinu's acting career began with a part in the teledrama "Pipena Mal," but it was her performance as "Tharumalee" in both that show and the Wes teledrama that stood out. In addition to teledramas, she has performed in a lot of music videos.
