Piyumi Botheju, born as Piyumi Shanika Botheju is a well known Sri Lankan celebrity. She has worked as an actress, model, Television presenter and dubbing artist during the course of her professional life.

Piyumi began her modeling career in 2001 when she participated in the ‘Lakhada Arudu Kumari’ pageant. She was crowned as the winner for the same, which inspired her to further pursue more modelling projects. Later, she worked alongside ‘Lakhada Radio’ as an announcer. Additionally, she has been a part of a number of Sri Lankan television dramas and movies. She has also been a part of projects like Ko Mark No Mark and Mage Yalu Malu in 2014. She also played a pivotal role in the 2015 film, Suhada Koka. She gained popularity with her role of Himali for the Paba Teledrama, which aired on ITN. She is also reported to play a part in an upcoming film titled Kabaddi.
