Dinupa Kodagoda is an alumnus of Kalabhumi and represents its 3rd generation of resource personnel.
Since childhood, she is very interested in dancing. When she was 4, she joined the Nanda Malini Sangeethashramaya to learn Singing. While Studying at St. Joseph’s Girls' School Nugegoda, she joined Kalabhumi in 1998 to study Sri Lankan Low country dance and learned under Mrs. Beatrice Weerasinghe and Mr. Sanath Abeykoon. Later on, she went on to study Hindustani Classical Music under Mrs. Manjula Seneviratne.
In 2001, she was selected to perform in the popular children's TV music program "Hapan Pedura." She received her training from this foundation and also worked as a vocalist.Â
She did her Bachelors of Performing Arts from the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo, Sri Lanka. She also studied Kathak at this institution.Â
She has been an active member of the THEEVRA Performing Arts Ensemble since 2008 and has contributed a lot with her skills as a Choreographer, Dancer, Vocalist, and a Vocal coach. She has also gained skills in a various music styles like fusion, contemporary, rock & pop, and folk.Â
Dinupa received the ‘Best Actress’ award in the State Drama Festival 2017. As of now, she is working as a Performing Artist in the fields of Music, Dance, Theater, and Film. She is also a Voice training instructor at Kalabhumi.
