Chathurika Peiris

Chathurika Peiris is a Sinhala actress working predominantly in the Sri Lankan film and television industry. She was born on 2 January 1981 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She attended Musaeus College for her college education. Chathurika debuted in acting with her lead role in the 2004 film Aadaraneeya Wassaanaya, directed by Senesh Dissanayake Bandara. She was the producer of the 2009 television series Sihina Kumari. She appeared in the theatre production Mahasamayama in 2013. She got the Best Actress Award at the 8th Rupavahini State Awards event in 2013 for her major part in the 2012 television drama Swayanjatha. She received the Sumathi Tele Awards' Best Teledrama Supporting Actress prize in 2012 for the same role.
