Wangkhem Lalitkumar Singh was a veteran Manipuri actor and theatre artist, born on March 2, 1949, in Sagolband Ingudam Leirak. He was also a director of several plays, dramas, and digital films. His contribution to Manipuri Digital films was quite appreciable.

Wangkhem became an acclaimed actor in Manipuri celluloid films for his works in various hit films produced by Bright Films, including Iraal Oirage in 1997. In 1980, the actor appeared in his first celluloid movie, Paokhum Ama, wherein he played the position of a man who married a tribal female under the course of Aribam Shyam Sharma. Lalit commenced to increase his performing career in Manipuri celluloid films in the 90s.

Lalit has become an acclaimed actor in Manipuri celluloid movies for his works in diverse hit films produced using vibrant movies Iraal Oirage (1997), Amambasu Anganbani (1998), Aroiba Natte (1999) and Thamoinadi Kouhouri (2000). Wangkhem Lalitkumar sadly passed away on September 22, 2014, at 65, following a brief illness.
