Prashanti Talpankar is an Indian writer, play writer, actor, and translator. She was born in Goa, India. Along with being a famous writer, she is also a teacher at Dnyanprassark Mandal's College and Research Centre, Assagao. She started his writing career when she was in college. Her poetry has also been broadcast on All India Radio in Panaji. She also published a few short stories. But her main writing and translating projects are children's books.
She has also written a book named Shadows in the Dark, which was based on a survey of migrant labour. She is also known for translating books in the Konkani language. She has also been awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award for translating books. She has also done several movies in the Konkani language, such as Aleesha, Baga Beech, and Juze. She had received awards for her every movie.
