Durdana Butt is a veteran Pakistani television actress, who spent most of her life in acting. She was known for her comedic acts and she usually played the role of a mother or an aunt in many of her television serials. She was born in Lahore, Pakistan. Jamil Fakhri was a veteran Pakistani television and theatre artist who has also starred in more than 50 films. He pursued Masters's in Mass Communications from the University of Punjab. Being a pursuer of Mass Communication, Tauqeer did not confine himself to journalism only; in fact, entered in acting, presenting, and what not. He later became DG of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts for the tenure of 2 years. Tauqeer left a solid impression of his acting in serious roles, which led him to be awarded with Pride of Performance award by President of Pakistan, Tamgha-e-Imtiaz award, and his name was nominated for Best Actor Drama Series in the 1st Indus Drama Awards 2005 for Maa Aur Mamta.
