1. Uzra Butt

Uzra Butt was born on the 22nd of May. 1917 in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh as the daughter of Mumtazullah Khan and Natiqua Begum. She completed her education at Lady Irwin College, Delhi University. She moved to live in Pakistan in 1964. Uzra also has three sisters Zohra Sehgal, Hajrah Begum, and Amna Begum. She got married to Hameed Butt and had three children. Uzra was a well-known actress and a theatrical personality. In 1937, she joined Uday Shankar Ballet Company as an actor cum dancer and then went on to join Prithvi Theatre. In 1944, she joined the Indian People's Theatre Association as an actress. She played several lead roles in various plays including Khwaja Ahmed Abbas's Zubeda.

Nadia Jamil is a Pakistani actress, who started her acting career in Pakistani TV screen with ‘Putli Ghar’ of Mehreen Jabbar. She has also dived into the AIDS awareness campaign with Salman Ahmed and also made an appearance in the video ‘Alvida’. Directory and writing incurs satisfactory feelings in her. According to her, though ‘Putli Ghar’ will always remain close to her heart being her first performance in Pakistani TV and she had the opportunity of working with Sano and Sajid Bhai but ‘Mere Paas Paas’, ‘Zindagi Badalti Hay’ and ‘Kaali Salwar’ are also important for her.In her recent interview she expressed her love and addiction with Indian Cinema and Bollywood stars. Although she is not interested in Indian soaps. She also mentioned that she is a huge fan of all the genres slapstick, horror, romance that Bollywood has churned out.

7. Faisal Rehman

Faisal Rehman or better known by his stage name Faisal is a prominent television and film actor, writer and director from Pakistan. He was born in Lahore but his ancestors were hailed from Afghanistan. Faisal is the son of Massud-ur-Rehman, a cinematographer and his brother Fasih Ur Rehman is a classical dancer. He is also the nephew of popular Bollywood actor Rehman. He completed his matriculation at St. Anthony High School in Lahore and entered the film industry at the age of 14. His first role was from the movie Nahi Abhi Nahi in 1980, which stars famous actress Shabnam. He continued to do films and studies at the same time. He attended Forman Christian College and took up Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Punjab. 


He was successful in his debut film and went on to act in several films for almost ten years. In the early 90’s, he moved to Canada and dwells in the country for five years. Faisal lives in Montreal, from where he learned French language. He is also fluent in English, Dari (Persian), Punjabi, Urdu and Bengali languages. When he came back to Pakistan, he did two feature films and several telefilms and dramas. He was applauded by the audience in the drama serial Malaal, helmed by Mehreen Jabbar. He played as Danish, a shallow and possessive man who marries a girl that is half of his age. This serial received the nomination at the 10th Annual Lux Style Award under the category of Best Serial. 


Faisal is also the co-founder of an association for the actors called The Actors’ Collective (ACT). This was established in the year 2009 in Lahore. From 1980 to 1985, Faisal has done films like Aladin, Yeh Zamana Aur Hay, Nadani, Tina, Doorian, Biwi Ho To Aisee, Love Story, Mehek, Miss Colombo, Aaposh, Naraaz, Dhanak, Palkon Ki Chaon Main, Miss Singapore, Chakkar, Beqarar, Qasam Munnay Ki, Girebaan, Baat Ban Jay, Jeenay Nahi Doon Gee, Agar Tum Na Hotay, Aandhi, Bazar R Husn, Pyaar Aur Pesa, Ghaddaar and Guns and Roses. He also did several television serials starting from year 1997 to 2012. The last was with Kamal Haasan in Ranjish Hi Sahi on Geo TV. 


Faisal also directed World Ka Centre in 2002 and won the Best TV Film and Director, Kali Shalwaar in 2003, Javaid Shampoo in 2004, Home in 2005, Karwachoth, Nausar Baaz and a music video in 2006, and Blouse in 2007.

Qavi Khan aka Mohammad Qavi Khan is a Pakistani movies and TV star, a radio artist and director as well. He was born on 13 Nov, 1932 in Lahore, Pakistan. He married in year 1968 and has four children all settled abroad but he didn’t leave his motherland. He started his career in 1960s at the age of five from Radio Pakistan and then after getting fame he shifted to PTC. He was one of the primary actors of PTV. Khayyam Sarhadi is a well-known Urdu film and television actor who worked on over 200 stage plays and about 300 television shows. Khayyam Sarhadi was born to Zia Sarhadi, Pakistani screenwriter and director, and Zahira Ghazvani, also a writer, on the 12th June 1948 in Bombay, India. He moved to Pakistan in 1956.
