For the Karachi born Pakistani TV actress Sania Saeed, it was but natural that she would enter into enacting dramas, sooner or later. Coming from parents who were highly educated and soaked into drama, she picked up her threads early, while at the same time pursuing her studies. She made her first break into television in 1989 when she was 17, through a street theatre play called “Aurat”. In fact, Sania’s skills in drama were honed and polished by her participation in her father’s troupe, called Dastak.

Dastak was formed in the backdrop of the struggle for democracy in Pakistan in 1982, and it staged street theatre with the help of a closely knit group of volunteer human rights activists. It continued the struggle till 1988 helping to bring to an end Pakistan’s longest running autocratic rule.  It was here that Sania learnt her first lessons in theatre by playing child characters in some of the Urdu versions of world famous plays, including those of Chekov and others.

However, it was actually about 4 years later that she shot into real prominence through her roles in the serial “Aahat” in 1991, followed the very next year by “Sitara Aur Mehrunissa” . 

After these two landmark serials there was no looking back for her. She has a fair mix of TV dramas (about 30) and TV serials (about 16), but her association with TV does not end there, she took part in Talk Shows also, being eminently qualified for the same. She had never ignored her education and completed her course in Clinical psychology after her early education. 

Her association with Dastak also extended even further, when she got her husband, writer director, Shahid Shafaat too, involved in the Dastak movement. Together they formed what was later christened as Katha, a grouping of working children from their hometown, trained into performing street plays. All in all, Sania Saeed is not just a TV personality, but a veritable movement, who with her father Mansoor Saeed and husband Shahid, has brought street theatre in Pakistan to a new level.

Aymen Saleem is a renowned Pakistani actress who acts in numerous TV serials. A dramatic TV serial special for Ramazan “Chupke Chupke” (2021) marking her debut role along with leading male actor Arslan Naseer. She was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan. Her family includes her father, Saleem Yousuf (former Pakistani Cricketer), her mother, Shereen Saleem, and her aunt, Nazia Hassan (late Pakistani Singer). From Karachi Grammar School, she completed her A-levels and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business with double majors in Strategic Management and Finance in the year 2017.

Shazia Wajahat is a producer in the Pakistani film and television industry. Her production banner showcase is much popular and she had given many popular TV serials under the showcase production. Some of her popular TV shows include Pinjira, Shab-e-Arzoo ka Alam, Ek Aur Ek Dhai, Soteli, and many more. She also produced a Film named Parde Mein Rehne Do. Shazia started her career with a debut serial of ARY Digital and later on, she worked on television series like Yaar-e-Bewafa, Damsa, and Raqs-e-Bismil. Shazia won the Best Television Film award for the film Main Kukko aur in 2015. Wajahat is married to rauf wajahat.

Nina Kashif was born and bought up in Pakistan. She did Masters of Business Administration- MBA in Marketing from School of Business and Commerce, Islamabad. Nina Kashif works as a Producer in the Pakistani Film Industry.

Zara Noor Abbas is a Pakistani actress. She was born on 13 March 1991 in Lahore, Pakistan. Her mother, Asma Abbas, aunts Bushra Abbas and Sumbul Abbas are also actresses. She graduated from Beaconhouse National University. She has also learned dancing, film design, theatre, and filmmaking. She participated in many dance competitions and performed in many plays. After this, she debuted in a tv serial named Dharkan. The actress also appeared in Khamoshi, for which she was praised a lot by viewers. Zara has worked in the following serials, Lamhay (2018), Qaid (2018), Deewar-e-Shab (2019), Ehd-e-Wafa (2019), Zebaish (2020), Dil Tera Hogaya (2020), Phaans (2021). She also did films like Chhalawa (2019), Parey Hut Love (2019), and Aan (2021).

A phenomenal producer and a brilliant director, Momina Duraid is the woman behind the popular Pakistani television dramas Humsafar, Dastaan, Udaari, Shehr-e-Zaat, and more. Hailing from a Pashtun background, Momina Duraid was born on June 30, 1971, in Pakistan. She completed her Master’s in Business Administration from the Lahore University of Management Sciences in 1997. She got married to classmate Duraid Qureshi, CEO of Hum Network Ltd. The couple has five children. Her mother-in-law, Sultana Siddiqui, is the founder and president of Hum Network Limited.

Best known for her role in Bari Apa, Sarah Khan is a beautiful, aspiring and promising Pakistani actress. Sarah Khan is a new talent of television world and yet amongst the most popular. She had performed exceeding well since her first show.Her first television show was 7up bites. She started her acting career not too many years back and within such a short period she achieved quite much of fame and success. Ms. Khan was born in Karachi, Pakistan. It’s very hard to imagine that she has worked in many numerous fields of media in such tiny span. We have seen her doing music videos, dramas, hosting of television shows, telefilms, and, ads and commercials.

Ushna Shah is beautiful Pakistani Actress, Radio Jockey and host born in Toronto, Canada. She now resides in Karachi, Pakistan. She has been brought up beautifully by her parents Ismat and Tahira. Ushna has two siblings Isra and Shah. Ushna Shah began her career with the show Khudgarz, which is a drama series. Ushna Shah has also worked on a Radio show in Canada on the channel Radio Punjab. Ushna Shah’s Alma mater is York University where she studied English and Professional Writing course, and now she resides permanently in Karachi. She has been an active part of theaters and radio shows since her childhood. She has been a part of the silver screen in serials such as Aag, Bashar Momin, Dua, Mere Khwabon Ka Diya, etc.

Hadiqa Kiani was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Hadiqa since her childhood has love for music as she performed in various school competitions and won many awards.  Hadiqa got her education in from Waqar-Un-Nisa Noon School Rawalpindi.  Hadiqa was among the fortunate singers who represented Pakistan in different singing competitions in Jordan, Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria. When she was in 8th grade, she moved to Lahore where she enrolled in Aligarh Public School.  She was even excellent in her academics as she was enrolled in Kinnaird College and she got her master degree completed in Psychology.

Hadiqa started her TV career with a children program on national television named as Angan Angan Taray.  During her three and half year stay with national television, she sung about 800 songs for kids along with legendary music composer Amjad Bobby.

Hadiqa was given a chance to sing a song for movie in 1994 featuring Zeba Bakhtiar. The music was composed by Adnan Sami Khan. She got many awards as playback singer.  Hadiqa was focused on her solo album as she launched her first music album in year 1996 named “Raaz”. The music album turns out as biggest hit and a lot of admiration has been received by her on her debut album.

The popularity and fame she got was tremendous as she was the first ever female signer from Asia to perform at BBC1 (British national lottery) about 16.6 million people viewed the program at that time.  She was the first ever singer from Asia to signed a deal with Pepsi Cola Int.

Yumna Zaidi is a talented Pakistani model and a television actress born on 3rd July 1989. She was born in Karachi but then her family shifted to Lahore. She was born in a family of a businessman. Becoming an actress or a model was never Yumna’s aim. She has three siblings. She was a very sincere and an intelligent student during her school days. Her fate and her gorgeous looks brought her into the Showbiz. She managed to sweep into the drama world of Pakistan. She starred in a lot of Pakistani television series. Some of them are still being aired. Her affection towards her culture can be seen from the fact that she only wore salwar - kameez in all drama series. She has a lot of fan following. She made her debut in the year 2012 in the television series Thakan where she played the role of Mehak. In the same year, she also starred in two other daily soap series named Teri Rah Mein Rul Gai Way and Khushi Ek Roag. Yumna’s work in both the shows reflected her Professionalism and her affection and love towards acting.

Mawra Hussain is a Pakistani actress, VJ, and a model.  She was born into an orthodox, highly reserved and respected Muslim family on September 28th, 1992 in Islamabad Pakistan. She wanted to become an actress from her childhood itself. She has a sister and a brother. Her sister Urwa Hussain is also an actress who is quite famous like Mawra. Her parents named her as Mawra Hocane, but she later changed it to Hussain. Mawra finished her high school from Bahria College Islamabad. She is currently one of the most popular actresses of Pakistan. 

Mawra stepped into acting in the year 2012. Her debut serial was Mere Huzoor. But before that she was a VJ like her elder sister. She appeared in various commercials of leading brands in Pakistan like Mobilink, Sunsilk, and Telenor etc. Mawra with her good looks caught the eye of many directors and producers who offered her roles in their TV shows. This young pretty actress did not become the victim of any rumors or rather one can say she has had a peaceful life as an actress not owing to any explanations or be at the center of gossips. This can be because of the reason that Mawra doesn’t tolerate gossips about her at all. She is very strict when it comes to matters like these. Mahira Khan or Mahira Hafeez Khan is a Pakistani actress, Video Jockey, and a model. She is best known as Kharid Ehsan of Hamsafar. She portrayed the role of a middle-class girl. She has been working right since 2008 and is from Karachi, Pakistan she was born on December 21st,1984. She is way too talented for her age and it seems as if the camera is her friend.

Ayeza Khan was born on January 15, 1991 in Karachi, Pakistan. Her real name is Kinza Khan.  She is a Pakistani actress and a new entrant to the industry. She graduated at Newport Institute of Communications and Economics in Karachi. She got married to Danish Taimoor on 8th August 2014.

She initiated her modeling career at her very young age. At the age of 16, she joined a beauty pageant and became a runner up. Later, she also modelled for television commercials and magazines and started to appear as the lead role in various television serials. She was debuted as a television actress through the comedy drama serial, Tum Jo Miley on Hum TV. She also did the heart-rending story, Tootal Hoye Par on Geo TV. She was also part of Ary Digital’s Kala Jadoo and Aks in 2012.

Ayeza bagged the lead role in the Pakistani telenovela, Kahi Unkahi on Hum TV, where she played as Zoya. He brother, Arham Khan and sister, Hiba Khan was also seen the show. In 2013, she played the role of Farah in the Pakistani drama serial, Pyarey Afzal on ARY Digital together with Hamza Ali Abbasi. She was also seen in Mere Meherban together with Bikhra Mera Naseeb and Agha Ali. This year, she played the role of Nisa in the romantic comedy serial, Jab We Wed on Urdu 1. She also did the drama serial, Mi Raqsam on Geo TV, where she appeared in all the episodes without a make-up since the director wants to get her expressions without an artificial support.

Ayeza started her career as a model. She never wanted to become an actress. But many people encourage her to act in plays. She took the chance and everything pays well. However, after her marriage, she left the showbiz industry. She has done a total of 21 television dramas, 18 telefilms and few song videos.

Iqra Aziz is a Pakistani actress who mainly worked in Urdu television. Born on 24 November 1997. She belongs to Karachi and has graduated from the University of Karachi. Her father died when she was young. She is married to Yasir Hussain in 2019. In 2014 she made her acting debut in the show Kisey Apna Kahein in the supporting role. Iqra is recognized for portraying Ajiya in the show Suno Chanda. She got several awards for her role. She also works as a model. She got her first lead role in 2015 in the show Muqaddas. Since then, she has done many other lead roles. Iqra left her studies to focus on acting.

Adeel Afzal brilliantly portrayed the character of Nasaaz in the gleaming TV show, Parizaad. He never dreamt about being an actor. He was born in Quetta in Pakistan and spent most of his life there. He did his schooling at Islamia School in Quetta. He did a Bachelor's in Science and a Master's in Public Administration. Afzal's first job was as a sub-editor in a newspaper (in Express Newspaper and Dunya Newspaper). His short story was also printed in the Jang newspaper. Here, he met a diverse set of people and learned about himself. He joined a radio station while pursuing his degree and participated in skits. After finding his purpose in life in performance arts, he went back to university. He was admitted to NCA to pursue a degree in Film and Television. After graduating from NCA, he worked as a teaching associate in the university itself.

Kashif Nisar was born in the place Quetta, which is situated in Balochistan in the country Pakistan. Kashif Nisar is a great Director, who has directed many television shows, drama series and many more. He is a versatile human being. He is also a screenwriter and a Producer, but he is famous for directing especially television serials and daily soaps. He is a Pakistani by nationality and gained much prominence in Pakistan as well as in other parts. He is married to a renowned lady Mrs. Amara Kashif. He has two children. He follows the practices of Islam religion and is greatly inclined towards the religious views. He has gained much recognition by producing a television serial named “Tere Mere Beech”.

Hashim Nadeem is a Pakistani playwriter, director, and writer. He was born on February 3, 1976, in Quetta, Pakistan. He started his career as a doctor, but later, he took his passion for writing as his profession. He is profoundly known for his drama series and novels. One of Nadeem's best-known works is the novel Khuda Aur Mohabbat, which was subsequently turned into a popular drama serial.

Shahzad Kashmiri is a Pakistani cinematographer and director who works in Urdu television series and movies. He is known for Urdu serials like Humsafar and Dil-e-Muztar on the Pakistani channel Hum TV and his Urdu movie Bin Roye. Kashmiri hails from Rawalkot in Pakistan and lives in Karachi. He works for the Moomal Productions (Pvt.) Ltd. in Karachi, which he joined in September 2000. Kashmiri worked as a sound recordist for the Urdu television movie Voyage Of Discovery directed by Kamran Qureshi. The talk-show released on 30th July 2000. He also worked as a sound recordist for Qureshi’s television films John Player’s Gold Leaf Thrill Seekers and John Player’s Gold Leaf Cheer-up in 2000. Kashmiri worked as an assistant camera man for the musical television series Allen’s Soothers Boombastic in 2000.

Arslan Naseer is a Pakistani actor who debuted in the unique drama of Ramzaan “Chupke Chupke” (2021). Born on 1st August, Arslan has been interested in acting from a young age. He was born and raised in Islamabad, Pakistan. His family is from an army background. His family members include his one brother and one sister. Arslan is the middle child of the family. After graduating from a military academy and earning a bachelor's degree in business in Ireland, he attended the University of Salford International in Manchester, United Kingdom, to get his master's degree in marketing. Following the completion of his studies, he relocated his home to Pakistan. In 2011 he started a comic, CBA- Comics by Arslan, on Facebook that assisted him in creating his website.

Hassan is a famous actor and comedian who works in various television series and movies. He belonged to Karachi, Pakistan. Hassan was born on 26 October 1980. He has also completed his graduation degree. He also worked in various dramas such as “Teen Talwar,” which shows two friends, Salman and Ghalib, live in the same apartment and stay with a paying guest named Nimmi. This drama is directed and produced by Salman Abbas, “The Barkat Uzmi Show” is a type of comedy show, “Khala Surayya” revolves around the story of Khala Surraya, a self-independent woman who belongs to the middle-class neighborhood in Karachi, and she is motivated to fight for the right of low-class people and solve their problems. He also worked in shows such as “Dheeli Colony” and “Manchali.”

Usman Mukhtar is a famous actor in Pakistan cinema, born on 27 July, 1985 in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. He is a Director, Cinematographer and a renowned Actor. His mother, Nasira, acted in almost 158 films. Nasira was famous as a villain in the film industry. Mukhtar's grandfather was a well-reputed lawyer of the area. He wanted to be a famous movie director, but his family was not in his support. He studied Journalism instead of going to a film school because his family didn't want him to be a director. He once decided to be a professional cricketer. But this proposal was also rejected by his family. He married the love of his life, Zunaira Inam Khan in April, 2021.

Waqar Ali is a talented Pakistani musician and singer. Ali is known for his albums and singles. His dad, Shafqat Hussein, is also a trained classical musician. He has also composed music for the film Aik Aur Love Story and the 2007 Pakistani TV drama series Sill. He has worked with some of the finest artists, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sajjad Ali, Shabnam Majeed, Atif Aslam, Lucky Ali, and Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch.

Imran Ashraf is a writer and actor in the Pakistani television industry. Imran Ashraf was born in Peshawar on September 11, 1989. In Abbottabad, he received his early education. His father was a banker, and his ancestors came from Sialkot. Imran is from a non-artistic, basic household; no one in his family works in show business. He married Kiran Imran in 2019 and has a son named Roham Ashraf. He made his acting debut in the drama serial "Wafa Kaisi Kahan Ka Ishq" in 2011. He participated in various productions as a supporting character but failed to capture the audience's attention. In several dramas, he performed minor roles.

Naveed Nashad is a Pakistan-based Songwriter/Composer and the son of the late Wajid Nashad, who was a very popular and successful music composer in his time. CAREER Deemed the King of OST by The News International, Naveen Nashad is a very talented music composer influenced by his father and grandfather who were big names in the music industry.

Adeel Hussain, a man with many great talents, hails from Karachi, Pakistan. Born on 30 June 1978, Adeel happens to be an actor, director, anchor and a designer. He entered the industry in 1990. Adeel has worked hard since starting of his career and earned name and fame. He always aspired to become a VJ, RJ or a director. He began his career, on radio channel 89 FM, where he used to perform on the morning breakfast show. He also appeared in a few ad films. He directed an advertisement for HBL car to car campaign. He too worked with Vizor studios as a cinematographer. Vizor is Adeel’s visual label. He made an appearance in few music videos too.

Osman Khalid Butt is known as Orlando Bloom of Pakistani TV industry. Born and bred in Islamabad, he is the son of Dr. Khalid Said Butt, a famous director and screenwriter. He is a man with a multifaceted personality and apart from acting, he is also an expert in the direction, journalism and writing.

Ahsan Khan is a Pakistani actor born on 9th October, 1981. His journey into the world of acting started in 1998 as he debuted in the movie ‘Nikah’ , then went on to act in movies like ‘Ghar Kab Aao Gay’, ‘Dil Mera Dharkan Teri’.

Noman Ijaz is a Pakistani actor, who was born on 14th February 1965 in Lahore, Pakistan. His father was a manager at one movie theatre in Lahore and his father’s job influenced him a lot in getting into the acting career. His family led a simple and humble life and his father wanted to make sure that all of his three children received good education and they were sent to the best Christian Management schools in Lahore. Noman has two brothers and he is now married to Rabia and they have three children.

He began his acting career through PTV and he acted mainly in dramas. He was famous for his negative roles in the dramas and is considered as one of the most respected senior artists in the Pakistan industry. Noman struggled a lot to find his place in the industry initially and he was widely respected for his hard work and humble behaviour. He started his career with a negative role in the drama ‘Rihaee’ which made him famous both among the audience and the industry folks.

He has an Urdu movie ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ to his credit which was released in 2008. He portrayed a Pakistani Hindu, who crossed the border towards India accidently and his wife’s role was played by Nandita Das in the movie. He was honoured by Pakistan president with the ‘Pride of performance award’ in 2011. He currently hosts a TV show on PTV.

Ahmed Ali Akbar is a former national-level tennis player and Pakistani actor, musician, and TV personality. He was born in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan, on September 28, 1986. Muhammad Ali Akbar, a Pakistani tennis coach and former captain of the Pakistan tennis team, is his father. Before pursuing his cinema career, he competed on a national level in tennis. At the club level, he also played cricket and football. He also has a younger brother named Abid Ali Akbar, a tennis player and has been titled Pakistan’s emerging hope in sports. He made his television debut at the age of thirteen through PTV's drama 'Stop Watch,' in 1999, after which he spent ten years singing for the Islamabad-based progressive rock band "Nafs" before returning to acting.

Azaan Sami Khan is a talented and famous music composer, producer, assistant director, and actor from Pakistan. He was born on May 22, 1993, to famous and admired singer Adnan Sami Khan and Pakistani film actress Zeba Bakhtiar. Azaan has tied the knot with Sophia Bilgrami. Azaan and his wife are blessed with a son and a daughter. He is currently residing with his family in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his schooling in Karachi and pursued his graduation from Belmont University, a non-profit, private university in Nashville, Tennessee. Azaan belongs to a solid artistic background. After completing his graduation, Azaan returned to Pakistan.
