Bharathiraja became a director, Chithra has the chance to work with him as an associate director. He worked in over 25 Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. His very first project as a film producer is from the 1983 Tamil film, Mann Vasanai under the direction of P. Bharathiraja. Later, he produced many films with several actors, producers and directors like Kamal Hasaan, Karthik, Prabhu, Sathyaraj and many more. Then in year 1987, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. G.
