Rowthiram is a revenge thriller directed and produced by Sunder. It started airing on 16th January 2019 on Monday to Thursday at 10 pm on Mediacorp Vasantham.
Chakravarthy, aka Chakra, is a prominent lawyer. His family and his friend Ramesh’s family are on vacation. The jolly holiday turns into a heart-breaking trip as Chakra’s youngest son, Surya, disappears. Kamala scolds her husband, Chakra, for being irresponsible. The next day, Kamala finds a note from the kidnappers stating that they need money without police interference. While Ramesh suggests going to the police, Kamala is afraid of doing so. After a long search, they are unable to find Surya. After 20 years, Kamala still hopes that her son will come back to her. Chakra makes his elder son, Moorthy, his heir in his firm, though his other son, Guru, is better than Moorthy. Guru walks out of the company after confronting Chakra. However, Moorthy is unable to approach Guru. In an accident, Moorthy is declared brain dead. On hearing this, Guru rushes to the hospital. What will happen next? Will Guru find out the reason behind the accident?
