Saude Dillan De is a Punjabi language serial that premiered in 2006 on DD Punjabi. The serial is based on the 1947 Partition and focuses on the lives of two sisters, Salma and Nazma, who were abandoned by their parents during partition. Salma is married to Sultan and has a daughter named Hina, while Nazma is married to Ayyub and has two sons named Imran and Iqbal.
The story begins by showing Salma as she gets flashbacks of the partition. Salma misses her parents and wants to reunite with them while her elder sister Nazma doesn't care for her parents as they abandoned them and didn't care for their lives during the partition. Salma and her husband believe in secularism, while Nazma and her family don't believe in this ideology.
The story escalates when Ayyub contests for the upcoming election, and his sons learn about their aunt's secular beliefs. According to Imran, elections are won by using religion. Since his aunt's husband is accompanying them in elections, he fears that their secular beliefs might lead Ayyub to lose the election. What happens next? Watch to find out.
