Big Memsaab is a reality tv show that aired on Big Magic. The show is made especially for homemakers. In the show, homemakers compete with each other to win the trophy of Big Memsaab. The show gave housewives a new perspective to see their life in a new and innovative way. Season 5 of the show started in 2012. The show was a take on giving the housewives a new perspective and was made to make them realize that they are more than that. Makers of the show went to different cities to hunt for talented housewives. In each city, they held auditions to select four main contestants to play several games. In the starting round of selection, they had to show their cookery skills and grooming skills after getting judged, and being selected in the initial rounds, they went to play the main game. In the show, four different rounds were there, and by playing each round, they won gifts related to household items. Sometimes they win refrigerators, and sometimes they win Television.

Their first round was named Geet Dilaye Jeet, which translates to Song Makes you a winner. In this round, many songs were played on an audio device. The housewives had to answer some questions based on the played songs. Sometimes they asked for the singer's names, and sometimes they asked which song was taken from which movie. The person who answered the maximum right questions got the maximum points. Then they moved to the second round. In this round, they had to showcase their dancing skills. They had to dance on several Hindi and Bhojpuri songs. After their performances, they were judged on their expressions, steps, and stiffness. The women who danced the best got the maximum points.

Then there was this Sawal Jawab round, which translates to Questions and answers round. In this round, they asked some questions related to random things that they had to answer. Sometimes they asked questions related to general knowledge, and sometimes they asked questions related to household things. There was a time fix for 10 seconds, and the contestants had to answer the questions in the fixed timing. The person who answered the maximum right questions get the maximum marks. After completing all the rounds, the scores of these contestants will be added, and the housewife who had the maximum marks get the crown of Big Memsaab.
