Padmavati Rao was born in India. She is an Indian film actress. Rao preferably works for the Hindi film industry. She has been worked preferably for the Kannada film industry. Shama Zaidi is an Indian costume designer, screenplay writer, art director, art critic, theater artist, and documentary filmmaker. She was born on the 25th of September in the year 1938. She is a native of the Indian town of Rampur. Her husband is M S Sathyu who is a filmmaker, art director, and a designer. He is known for his cult movie in Urdu called Garam Hawa. Shama is the daughter of the reputed politician and educationist Bashir Hussain Zaidi. Her mother’s name is Qudsia Zaidi who is an associate of the theater personality and communist ideologue Habib Tanvir. Shama has two brothers.

Sushma Prakash is an actress of Indian television and movies. Seen in the 1985 film Trikal, she played the role of Anna. After this, she was seen in 1989’s TV series Intezaar. She has also appeared in Doordarshan’s Yatra and STAR Plus’s Dekho Magar Pyaar Se. Dekho Magar Pyaar Se is a soap opera in which Sushma plays the role of Tara Bedi. Zee TVs Rishtey, which shows small stories about relationships, is also a show she appeared on.

Tom Alter is a multifaceted acting personality who has showcased his acting skills in television, Hindi movies and in theaters. Tom Alter was born on Jun22, 1950 in Mussourie, Uttarakhand, India to a family of Christian missionary ancestry and has been awarded with Padmashree award by the Govt. of India in the year 2008. Tom Alter started his acting career with theatres in the year 1976 and till date considers the Late superstar Rajesh Khanna as his idol and inspiration to take up the acting profession.  In his personal life, Tom Alter is married with two children, a son Jamie and daughter Afshaan. Tom Alter is a bright graduate from the prestigious FTII, Pune (Film and Television Institute of India).  Before taking up acting as a profession Tom Alter used to teach in a school in Mussoorie.  Tom Alter appeared in many notable and popular Hindi television serials. Among them, Junoon- a revenge romantic drama and Zaban Samhalke – a comedy show are worth of special mention. Dinesh Mangaluru is an Indian-Actor. He works mainly in the Kannada Film Industry. He is a well-known and versatile actor. He has immense popularity due to his excellent acting skills. Shashidhar Adapa is an Indian Art director and designer. He designs sets, puppets and leads the production design in movies. He works in the Kannada film Industry. He has done production design for over thirty years in the industry and worked with theatre personalities and filmmakers such as Shankar Nag, M. S. Sathyu, B. Jayashree, Girish Karnad, Girish Kasaravalli, Mani Ratnam, etc. He took birth in Mangalore, Karnataka on 1st September 1955.

Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar and Pyarela l Ramprasad Sharma, popularly known as Laxmikant-Pyarelal in the music industry, were at the zenith of their profession during the 70s and 80s. Ek Do Teen and Jumma Chumma were the top charters during the late 80s. Laxmikant was born on 3rd November 1937 and Pyarelal on 3rd September 1940. 

Starting their careers in orchestra, this duo frequently did ghosting for music directors. While Laxmikant got to learn violin, Pyarelal imbibed music skills. The first flick which had this duo composing music was Parasmani in 1963. The songs of the film were a smashing hit. In their career spanning more than 3 decades, they only worked with top notch singers. Possibly this duo had entertained the music lovers with the maximum number of compositions. They have been admirably nominated for 25 times in Filmfare, winning 7 awards. 

Sureel Kala Kendra was the place in which Laxmikant-Pyarelal first met. The Kendra was an initiative of Mangeshkar family. Since this duo had the financially pitiable background, Lata Mangeshkar introduced them to top notch music composers of that day. They got only insignificant opportunities and hence travelled to Chennai. But they again returned to Mumbai. This duo has assisted most of the music composers. Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar got only less money as pay when the duo was struggling. This pair of mesmerizing voice were sang under the composition of Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Kishore Kumar also sang several songs under the amazing direction of this duo. The flick Dosthi was a turning point in this duo’s career. 

During the 80s the music of Laxmikant-Pyarelal was not up to the mark as they focused more on numbers. The friendship of this duo was commendable and they maintained it till the death of Laxmikant during 1998. After that, Pyarelal composed music, without sacrificing the name Laxmikant-Pyarelal.

Born on 19th May 1938, Girish Raghunath Karnad is a multi-faceted artiste; he is not only an actor, but also a writer, director and playwright. He has mainly worked in South Indian films. He was awarded the Jnanpith Award during 1998; this award is the highest literary recognition in India. Girish Karnad has been working on plays for around 40 years. His subject of interest is mythology and history. He has also done translation of his plays into English language. Moreover, his translated plays in regional languages were directed by many directors. 

During the 60s Karnad was an outstanding playwright and Kannada world witnessed Modern Indian playwrighting through him. Kannada literature was carried away by the Western literature during the time when Karnad stepped into writing plays. Here, then Karnad used historical and mythological sources to handle contemporary issues. “Yayati”, his first play, condemns life’s ironies with the help of characters in Mahabharata. This new theme got immediate response and was much appreciated. Another play of his, Tughlaq, made Karnad as one of the worthy playwrights to look out for. 

Girish Karnad is most prominent in Hindi and Kannada industry. He has Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan to his credit and he is also the proud recipient of 4 Film Fare awards. Karnad has worked in Hindi movies including Godhuliand, Utsav and Pukar. His film titled Kanooru Heggaditi received critical recognition. It is the adaptation of a novel of Kannada writer. 

Girish Karnad had donned various roles in his career and he adopted writing as a full-time career for some time. He is known for his narration in the famous audio book series for children, Karadi Tales. He has also voiced Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in the audio book “Wings of Fire”. 

Girish Karnad has got international acclaim as a playwright, actor, director, poet, translator and critic. His strong point as a playwright is that he tries to establish a link between the present and the past. And in fact, he has indeed gained the acclaim that he truly deserves.

Amrish Lal Puri was born on 22nd June, 1932 in Punjab. He was a popular Bollywood actor and an artist who was known for his ideal performance in the Indian cinema. He was apparently known for his playwrights namely Satyadev Dubey, and Girish Karnad. Most importantly he is known for his negative roles in Bollywood, and also in other Indian and International movies. They were highly a great sign of his performance which did made a real difference to the industry. His movie Mr.India (1987), and Indiana Jones and the Tempel of Doom (1984) are the movies that he had attracted the Indian and the International audiences.
