Renuka Shahane is a veteran television actress who also gained a huge success in Bollywood movies. She first appeared as a television host for popular morning television show Surabhi which was telecasted on Doordarshan National television channel from 1993 to 2001. During the decade of 1990’s she was considered to be top television actress along with Pallavi Joshi, Shefali Chaya, and Kitu Gidwani. In 1994, she appeared in the highly successful Bollywood movie Hum Apke Hain Koun? Jatin Kanakia was a popular Indian television actor who was best known for his comedic roles that he played for some of the most popular and long running television serials. His comedic skills were so appreciated that informally he was known as the “Prince of Comedy.” Initially, he started working as a theatre artist for Gujarati and Hindi plays but later on he moved to television industry. His first major break on television industry was his role of Keshav Kulkarni for the television series Shrimaan Shrimati. In this serial he worked with some of the finest television stars like Archana Puran Singh, Rakesh Bedi, and Reema Lagoo. Shrimaan Shrimati was telecasted on Doordarshan National and even now it is considered as one of the most successful comedy shows.
Jatin Kanakia worked for many of the television serials produced by Adhikari Brothers. Some of the successful television serials for which Jatin Kanakia acted are All The Best, Hum Paanch, Yes Boss, Gudgudee, Padosan, Maal Hai To Taal Hai, Hum Sab Ek Hain, Hum Apke Hai Woh, Do Aur Do Paanch, and Mrs. Madhuri Dixit. Apart from working in television industry, Jatin Kanakia also played comedic roles for some of the Bollywood movies such as Hum Saath Saath Hain, Vishwavidhaata, Trishakti, and Khoobsurat. Jatin Kanakia died at the age of 46 on July 18, 1999.
