Ashish S.K produced the animated series under the banner of Reliance Animation. The 26-episode cartoon was dubbed into several regional languages. The plot revolves around Vehaan Arya. He is a lab assistant to Professor Gyani, a computer-science genius. But in reality, he fights bad guys and is the superhero Shaktimaan. Vehaan has to work hard to keep the people of his city, Indus City safe from the clutches of the evil genius Kilvish.

He is helped by Leena Ray, a journalist in search of sensational news. As it turns out, both Vehaan and Kilvish had trained under the seven gurus who resided in the Himalayas and represented the seven chakras of man. But Kilvish turned out to be a rotten apple. The entire episodes revolve around Kilvish and his minions plotting evil plans to harm the citizens while Vehaan foiling all his plans. Shaktimaan - The Animated Series was rather popular just as much as the live-action Indian superhero series.
