Kajri is a drama serial in the Bhojpuri Language that aired on Mahuaa. The serial focuses on the life of a woman named Kajri, who is considered unlucky with love by her family. Kajri was born in a wrong horoscope which led to her having a "dosh" in her love life. The story escalates when Kajri is about to get married; however, a chandelier above the mandap falls on her groom, and he dies on the spot. Kajri's father and grandmother had hidden Kajri's wrong horoscope from the world; however, after this incident, they all started believing in it.
After the incident, Kajri's father criticizes her for being unlucky. He belittles her by telling her that because of her birth, her mom died and that she will not receive any man's love in this life and leave the house.
