Tamil Movie Review Tharkappu - Cast & Crew

Ranjitha was born on 4th June 1975. She is an actress by profession and has acted in many Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu movies. She debuted with the Telugu flick, “Kadapa Reddemma” which proved to be a major hit and also gave her the kick start she required in the industry. The picture grossed an excellent business at the box office. In the same year, her Tamil debut movie also released, “Nadodi Thendral” which is a triangular love story between ‘Karthik’ (a goldsmith’s son), ‘Geetha’, who has a poultry farm and an English lady.

Vaishali Deepak is a Kannada film actress, who was hailed from Chickkamagaluru in Karnataka. She made her debut in the recently released Kannada action film, Charlie, alongside Krishna in the lead role. This film has been completed since 2014 but the release got delayed due to some issues. And as she waited for the release of it, she bags another role in the Tamil action thriller film, Tharkappu, helmed by R. P. Ravi in 2015, where she was paired with Sathish Krishnan.

Jones Anand is an upcoming Indian cinematographer who works predominantly in Tamil movies. He made his debut with a Tamil movie 'Baby' (2015) which was directed by D Suresh. The cinematographer has worked in just two films, but his second film ‘Tharkappu’ (2016) is still remembered for being a high-octane action film that had a substance. Sure, the spectacle was good in the movie for photography, it left us feeling wanting more such cop-criminal sequences.

He is well known for writing and directing the film Tharkappu (2016), an action thriller produced by Dr. S Selvamuthu and Manjunath under Kinetoscope Production, starring Shakthi Vasudevan, Samuthirakani, Sathish Krishnan, Vatsan Chakravarthy and Vaishali Deepak. The original soundtrack for the movie was composed by F. S. Faizal, and received mixed reviews as a response from the public and critics. He has written the screenplay and the script for the film Nungambakkam (2020), a crime drama based on the Swathi murder case, directed by Ramesh Selvan and produced by K. C. Ravidhevan under Dream World Cinemas. It stars Ajmal, Mano and Ayra, and the music for the movie was given by Sam D. Raj.

Sakthi Vasudevan was born on February 23rd, 1983 at Chennai. He took an interest for cinema from his father- P.Vasu, who is a prominent film director in the Tamil film industry. His debut work was the 1991 drama film titled ‘Chinna Thambi’ which was directed by his own father. He played as the younger self of the popular Tamil actor Prabhu. In the following year (1992), He appeared in three other films as a child actor. His performance in all the films was noticeable.

Manjunath is a Tamil film producer who has produced movies like “Tharakappu,” “Lifeu Ishtene,” “Ee Sanje,” and “Lodde”. He was born on 28 March in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Manjunath, since his childhood, was a big fan of watching movies and always dreamt about producing a movie.

Dr. S Selvamuthu is a Tamil actor and producer, popularly known for his work in movies like Kuttram Sieyel (2019) and Tharkappu (2016). He first came into limelight as the producer of the 2016 action thriller film Tharkapappu, starring Amita Ranganath, Vatsan Chakravarty, and Vaishali Deepak.
