Remya Nambeesan is a chirpy young Indian actress, whose primary focus is Mollywood. Born on January 1, 1986, Remya Nambeesan was introduced into the film industry with the 2000 Malayalam flick Sayahnam. R Sarath helmed direction for this flick. After that, she went on to work in various Malayalam films as a child artiste. Then she was seen in insignificant supporting roles including Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka, Gramophone, etc. She had worked under the direction of Sarath for three times. Eventually, she got lead roles since the year 2006. 

Indian top model and Telugu and Tamil star Anjali was born in Andhara Pardesh in 1986. Acting was her passion so she started her career from short films. Small projects like short films and modeling assignments lead her to the silver screen. Director Siva Nageswara Rao recognized her talent and offered her the role of “Swapna” in Telugu Thriller “Photo” in 2006. Start of her career was from low budget and low profile Telugu films.

In 2007 a new comer writer and director Ram offered her a lead role in a Tamil movie which proved a blockbuster on Tamil and Telugu screen. Her best performance in the role of “Anandhi” awarded her with “Filmfare award for best female debut” and “South Vijay award for best debut actress”. This was the start of a long list of successful films. She has worked in more than 20 Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films.

She won her first “Filmfare award for best actress” and “Tamil Vijay award for best actress” in 2010 for the movie “Angadi Theru”. But this wasn’t the end. She got one more “Filmfare award of best actress” in 2011 for “Engaeyum Eppothum”. These consecutive awards made her a superstar of South Cinema. Her journey towards fame is continued yet. Many of her films are hitting the screen this year that can bring more success to her career.

Born on 4th May, 1983 in Palakkad by Krishnan and Uma Krishnan as her parents. Before starting her carrer in modelling and acting, she did her schooling from Sacred Heart Matriculation school in Church Park and then BBA from Ethiraj College for Women (Chennai). She entered into film industry after making a mark as a model and winning several beauty pageants like Miss Salem and Miss Madras in the same year. In 2001, she won Miss India Pageant “Beautiful Smile” award. She got her first acting break in Tamil film Jodie. After that, she got her first lead role in Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002) opposite Surya and won critical acclaim.

Shamna Kasim is a well known Indian film actress and model. She is popularly known by her stage name ‘Poorna.' She was born in Kannur to a Muslim-Malayalee couple Kasim and Ramla. She has done her schooling from St. Teresas Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School in Kannur after shifting from Ursuline Senior Secondary School. She shifted her school to concentrate more on her dancing skills.

Rekha is a popular South Indian actress, who was born in the year 1970 in Kerala. Her birth name is Josephine and she changed her name to Rekha as the stage name. She completed her education in Ooty. She was introduced to the cinema industry through the veteran Tamil film director Bharathiraja. Kadalora Kavithaigal was her debut movie in the year 1986 and she performed as a teacher in that movie quite naturally. She was accompanied by Sathyaraj and Raja in that movie. It was a hit movie and Rekha was popularly called as Kadalora Kavithaigal Rekha. In the next year, she was called upon by the legendary director Balachandar to appear as a guest in his movie. She immediately nodded her head to him and that movie is Punnagai Mannan, in which she did opposite Kamal Hassan.

Suraj (also spelled as Suraaj) is an Indian Director. He is active in Tamil cinema and is best known for his masala and action flicks. He started his journey as an Assistant Director. In the year 1996, he worked with Sundar C. as an assistant director and has worked with him in three films namely Allitha, Ullathai and Mettukudi. He continued assisting for two years. In 1997, he assisted for ‘Arunachalam’ which casted South Indian Superstar Rajinikanth. He also Co-directed the flick ‘Janakiraman’. Suraj finally made his Directorial Debut in the year 1998 with ‘Moovendhar’ which has Devayani and R. Sarathkumar as the leads. It turned out to be a huge commercial as well as critical failure.

V Swaminathan is a Tamil producer who grew up in the Tamil film industry alongside G Venugopal and K. Muralitharan. One can say Sundar C, Fazil and Venkatesh were the directors who brought Swaminathan into filmmaking.

An Indian Cinematographer, Senthil Kumar has worked mostly with the Tamil and Malayalam Industry. He was born in 1972 in Coimbatore. After studying in the Government Film Institute, Chennai; it was but obvious that he would take up acting as his career. That time he worked in about 50 films. ‘KaruppuVelai’ in 1993 was his first debut directed by Manobala. A trend started when he only worked for Sundar C. but then was replaced by Prasad Murella. It was a time when the late 1990s and early 2000s era was coming down.

Saithan, which released on 01^st December 2016, and is directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy. Angusam, which released on 09^th May 2014, and is directed by Manu Kannan. Haridass, which released on 22^nd February 2013, and it is directed by Kumaravel.

Madhan Karky Vairamuthu was born on March 10, 1980. He lives in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his education from College of Engineering, Guindy and University of Queensland. He is an Indian lyricist, software engineer, a professor, research associate, and a film dialogue writer. His parents are Vairamuthu and Ponmani; his father is a poet and a lyricist.

Immanuel Vasanth Dinakaran, acknowledged as D. Imman, is an Indian big screen musician and songster mainly for Tollywood. Imman was in Chennai in Sothern parts of India on 24 January 1983. He did his schooling Don Bosco, Egmore, Chennai and completed his graduation in Pachaiyappa's College. He did his Master's from Madras University. Immanuel got married on 24th April 2008 to Monica Richard, and the couple is blessed with two adorable daughters.

Born on September 10, 1980, Jayam Ravi’s original name is Ravi Mohan. He made his debut in the Tamil film “Jayam”. He got the prefix “Jayam” since it was his first film. Most of his films are directed by his brother Raja. Some of the films this duo worked together are “Jayam”, M Kumaran-Son of Mahalakshmi”, “Santhosh Subramaniam” “Mazhai” “Thillalangadi” etc.

Jayam Ravi entered the Tamil film industry during the year 2003. A fact not known to many is that Ravi made his debut as a child artiste in a Telugu film. This film was under the banner of his father Editor Mohan. Later, as a youngster, he acted in the film “Jayam” which was directed by his brother Raja. Sameera Bharadwaj is a famous playback singer in India. She is an established singer in the industry and has sung songs for films in different languages. From her childhood days, Sameera aspired to become a singer. She began learning music when she was in the second standard. Sameera also participated in a lot of television music shows. She was the runner up in Super Singer 8th Season. Her grandmother, Vaani was also a music teacher.

Sharmila is a professional playback singer, rapper and lyricist in South India. Other than singing, she is also known for rapping. Sharmila has rapped songs like Alaika Alaika from the movie Thuppakki starring Tamil actor Ilayathalapathy Vijay and actress Kajal Agarwal. Sharmila has also rapped a song from the Tamil movie Theeya Vela Seiyanum Kumaru starring Siddharth and Hansika Motwani. Sharmila is said to select only peppy songs to perform and not explore sentimental and melody songs. When asked for the reason behind this preference, she says that she feels fast paced songs are more suitable to her voice and that maybe the reason for the music directors also to suggest mostly pop songs to her.

Vivekanandan is the birth name of the versatile comedian Vivek. He is introduced by the legendary director Balachander through the film Manadhil Urudhi Vendum. It is the film in which Ramesh Arvind was also introduced. They both acted as brothers of Suhasini in that film. He got famous through Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal, as his dialogue Innaikku Seththa Naalaikku Paal reached the viewers well. He acted with top actors and reached fame within a short span. He performed with Rajini in Uzhaippali, Veera and Sivaji. His role in Kadhal Mannan, an Ajith starter, was loved by many people. Vivek acted with Vijay in Kushi and Priyamanavale. He performed with Vadivelu in few films and the notable one is Middle Class Madhavan, a Prabhu movie. Both Vadivel and Vivek performed humorously in that film. After the invasion of many comedians like Santhanam and Suri, the chances get lessened for Vivek. He performed as Eka in the Dhanush movie Uthamaputhiran, which was outstanding. Singham of Surya had Vivek as a Police constable. His recent movies are Velai Illa Pattadhaari with Dhanush and Yennai Arindhaal with Ajith. He has also acted as a solo hero in the film named Nan Than Bala. The film did not go well as expected, but he has won positive criticism from the critics. 

Ashvin Raja is an actor in the Tamil movie industry. He plays comedy roles and character roles. This multitalented star was born on 21st November 1989 in Choolaimedu, Chennai. He began his career in director Rajesh’s movie, ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ (2010). His character of ‘Paalpandi’, son of the money lender from whom the lead borrows money, became a sensation and offers began to rain for this star. The scenes where he shows the knife and eats apples in the tutorial and laughs at the lead when he comes to borrow money became quite famous.

John Vijay was born in 1976. John is a Tamil film actor, who has contributed on playing many brace roles. He has mostly attempted the role as a comedian and villain in Tamil films. John did his Master of Science in Visual Communication from Loyola College.

Radha Ravi is a populous actor cum producer in the Tamil cinema industry. He has come from a cinema background family, where his father, brother, and sisters were the actors. He is the son of the popular actor M R Radha, who is well known for his villainy and character roles in the early 50s and 60s. Radha Ravi was born in the year 1952. He did his graduation in the New College in Chennai. He has a brother called M.R.R.Vasu and three sisters namely Rashya, Rani and Radhikala. Radhika and Nirosha are his half-sisters.

It's no secret that most celebrities use stunt doubles when filming particularly challenging scenes, but it's not something we always remember when caught up in the energy of an action-packed movie. In Indian film industry, particularly in Kollywood and Bollywood, stunt actors are indeed a must. 

Soori is a South Indian actor in Kollywood. His nickname is “Parotta Soori’ which has been derived from his Tamil movie that he had acted. In 2009, he acted in a film ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’(2009) where a scene was shot with a crew of actors, who sit together and eat Parotta by keeping a challenge who eats more Parotta’s. In this scene, Parotta Soori performed his best, so people coined his name as Parotta Soori. Basically, he appeared as a comedian in many Tamil movies. After the film became a blockbuster, he never looked back. He is doing five to six films in a year. Today, this dusky lad with the moustache look has placed him in line with other comedians like Vadivelu, Santhanam and Goundamani. He is in peak of his career today playing comedian roles and doing a number of movies with the lead actors. With his popularity reaching a new height, the actor even now demands to play a lead role in some movies. Although these movies are not yet been officially announced, we can hear the announcement very soon. He has rejected some new movies that came in his hand and want now a scripted-backing role for his comedy touch. It is believed that a film in which he would play a lead actor, a need for new heroine is all the way. This actor was born on August 27, 1977 in Madurai. When he was new in the industry, he shared the screen as one of the junior artistes and did side acting only. Later on, he got comedy roles, which had given him a good chance to show his timing comedy sense and dialogue delivery on the screen.

Ghantasala Sai Srinivas Thaman Siva Kumar, also known as S.Thaman. He is an Indian film composer, who also works in Tamil and Telugu industry. He is famous for giving his best. He started his career in the film Boys. He then became famous for his passion towards music director. His debut film as music director for Tamil was Sindhanai Sei and for Telugu was Kick. S.Thaman was born on 16th November 1983 in Andhra Pradesh. He is the grandchild of Ghantasala Balaramaya, who is known for producing the Telugu film Seetarama Jananam. Thaman, a 28-year-old hails from a family of musicians from Pottepalam. His father Ghantasala Siva Kumar was a Drummer; mother Ghantasala Savitri is a playback singer and his aunt P.Vasantha is also singer. Thaman married Vardhini, who is a playback singer.

RK Selva is an Indian movie editor who is currently working in the Tamil entertainment industry. During his college days, Selva took a keen interest in film making. With his friends, Selva decided to try his hand in movies. Initially, Selva started making short clips which he directed as well as edit them. In 2010, Selva uploaded a video “Yemattram” on the streaming website YouTube. In 2011, Selva launched another clip “UyirVaasam.” In 2012, Selva was the editor of Guhan Senniappan’s Sennai Vettai. Sennai Vettai also featured on the reality show “NaalayaIyakunar” which is a platform for aspiring directors.

Na. Muthukumar is a poet, lyricist, writer and novelist, who writes in Tamil. He is famous for writing scripts and songs for Tamil films. Na. Muthukumar was born on 12 July 1975 in a small village named ‘Tirur’ near Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu. His Father, Mr Nagaraj was a Tamil teacher.Mr Nagaraj always maintained a collection of 5000 books throughout his life, and after he had passed away, this collection was preserved by his son in his office. Also, his mother passed away when he was merely four years old. Muthukumar reminisces that he acquired most of the knowledge of his life from his father’s book collection. Also, to help others he has plans to open a library where everybody could access those books. Na. Muthukumar began his career with a dream to be a director. So, he started working under director Balu Mahendra for about four years as assistant director. But due to turn of events, he landed into being a lyricist. He began with writing the lyrics for the Tamil movie ‘Veera Nadai’ which was directed by Seeman.

Thalapathy Dinesh, a fight master/action choreographer who is known for his work mainly in Kollywood. He is famous for his work in "Ejamaan"(1993) Born on May 17, 1963, in Tamil Nadu. He started his career in Kollywood in "Naan Sigappu Manithan" as merely an extra fighter. But slowly, he rose to become an actor and an incredible stunt master. The stunting skills run in his family. Hari Dinesh, who is his son, is also a stunt actor.

Pandi, commonly known as 'Black Pandi,' is a comedy artist from Tamil Nadu. His original name is Lingeswaran. He is famous for his role in his debut television show 'Kana Kaanum Kaalangal’. He is in the field of cinema since the year 2000 and he has appeared in almost twenty-three movies. Some of the movies that he worked were Ghilli, Autograph, Angaadi Theru, Deiva Thirumagal, Velayutham, Saattai, Poojai, Jilla, etc. He belongs to a family of artists, where his ancestors were stage actors for many generations.

Prabhu Ganesan or better known as Prabhu is a prominent Indian entrepreneur, producer, comedian and actor who mainly appear in Tamil films. He was born on December 25, 1956 in Chennai, India. His mother is Kamala and his father, Sivaji Ganesan is a stage and film actor during the 20th century. Prabhu is the father of Vikram Prabhu, who is making a name in the Tamil film industry. After his debut in the 1982 film, Sangili, the actor started to play leading and supporting roles, which gained him the Best Actor in Lead Role Award by the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in after donning a brilliant performance in the Tamil film, Chinna Thambi in 1991.

Chithra Laksmanan was born on January 22, 1948. He is a journalist-turned actor, producer and director. When his friend, P. Bharathiraja became a director, Chithra has the chance to work with him as an associate director. He worked in over 25 Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. His very first project as a film producer is from the 1983 Tamil film, Mann Vasanai under the direction of P. Bharathiraja. Later, he produced many films with several actors, producers and directors like Kamal Hasaan, Karthik, Prabhu, Sathyaraj and many more. Then in year 1987, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. G. Ramachandran governed the 100th day function of the Tamil crime film, Jallikattu which he produced along with Chitra Ramu, under the direction of Manivannan. He was also the producer of the films, Vaazhkai and Chinnappadass.

He was debuted as a director in the 1988 Tamil film, Soora Samhaaram which stars Kamal Hasaan. Subsequently, Chithra directed the 1997 Tamil drama film, Periya Thambi with actor, Prabhu. He also produced and directed the 1999 Tamil film, Chinna Raja which stars Karthik in the main lead role.

Chithra works in the Tamil Film Producers Council for a span of four years as a Secretary. He also works in the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce, FFI or the Film Federation of India and in Tamil Film Directors Association as an Executive Committee Member for several years. In 2002, he was also one of the Jury in the National Film Awards and he was also voted to be an Executive Committee Member in the Tamil Film Producers Council in 2011.

Chithra became an actor as Munusamy Guide in 1985 Tamil film, Japanil Kalyanaraman and since then, he got the chance to work in over 50 films like Periya Thambi, Unnai Ninaithu, Bose, Giri, London, Kusthi, Dhanam, Boss Engira Bhaskaran, Saguni, Isakki, Settai, Pattathu Yaanai, Ya Ya, Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham, Nimirndhu Nil and a lot more.

He was debuted as a television actor in Sun TV’s Ganga Yamuna Saraswathi along with M. S. Bhaskar. Then he appeared as the father of Reshmi (played by Sabarna) in Sondha Bandham in 2012. Then he was casted in the mega serial, Idhayam on Sun TV, followed by the Tamil super hit serial, Anantham.

M. M. Manasi – The versatile playback singer, who started her singing career in the movies at the age of 9. She was born on 8th January 1993 and her native place is Chennai. She was trained for 15 years in Hindustani vocal. Though her hometown was Chennai, she was brought up in Mumbai. She started to learn the music at the age of 2. Her first performances were during the festivals such as Navaratri and Ganapathi Chaturthi. Her family encouraged her a lot, and good encouragement can go a long way. Manasi has mentioned her t parents' encouragement in a lot of interviews and stages. Her inspiration was K. Pop and Ilayaraja. She is not only a playback singer but she is also a dubbing artist. She finished her studies in the D. g. Vaishnav College in Management.

M M Monisha is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, who works in the Tamil industry. She was born in Tamil speaking parents in Chennai and grew up in Mumbai. At the age of four, she started learning music; her first public performance was during her school plays and culture programs. She has an elder sister, who is also a famous playback singer. She has sung in movies like Race Gurram, Pratibandh, Ra, Sema, Yaar Ivan. Her previous film to hit in the theatre was in the year 2018. She has also received the best playback singer award at SIIMA. Her sister is married and has a daughter. She worked with many famous singers in the Tamil industry. She made her own identity, which is increasing her fan following. She wants to become a singer since childhood. She used to practice with her sister. She had also sang for the Telugu film Race Gurram. She had sung in Kalari, Sema, Yaar Ivan and many films in Tamil.

Deva was born on 20th November 1950 in the state of Tamilnadu, India. His full name is Devanesan Chokkalingam, and he is a very prominent and promising music director of the Kollywood film industry. He has also sung songs that were huge hits indeed. He got huge fan followers for his music composition and singing. The instruments that he use includes Keyboards, Guitar, Piano, and Harmonium. He is quite active in the cinema field right from the year 1988 until the present.

Srinivasan Raghunathan, known in the show 'Airtel Super Singer 3,' as Nivas, was destined to a family hailing from Kerala and got some preparation before entering the challenge.
