Plot

Ranasingam is the father of five girls. He wishes to have a son and hence he gets married to another woman. His dream comes true and his second wife delivers a boy baby and he names him Gunasingam. Gunasingam grows in a big family and he is affectionate towards all his sisters. There are two girls in his family and his sisters wanted him to marry, either one of them. But, Gunasingam falls in love with a girl, outside his family. This creates a big controversy among his family. The rest of the film deals with how he convinces his sisters to marry his lady love.

Star Performance

Karthi has given a fantastic performance. Sathyaraj has done his job as usual. Bhanu Priya has rendered a decent performance. Other supporting stars have done justice to their roles. After heavy sentiment scenes, Soori comes as a great relief with his comedy.

Analysis

We couldn’t say that Pandiraj has come with a unique script. This film is a mixture of a lot of old rural movies. But, Pandiraj has strongly spoken about the agriculture and the life of the farmer. His attitude about the joint family is quite impressive. Music and cinematography are good. Suriya’s cameo is an added beauty to the film. Yet, the heroines didn’t have much to perform.

Verdict

Overall, Kadaikutty Singam is a good family entertainer. People who love to watch a rural family entertainer will fall for this film. Watch the film in theaters; you will feel the film is worth the money spent.
