Chaya Singh was born on 16th May’1981 in Bangalore. Her parents belong to Uttar Pradesh. Before her birth, they migrated to Karnataka. Chaya Singh belongs to Raiput family. She spent her childhood in Bangalore. She has completed her schooling in Lourdes School, Bangalore. She did her Plus Two in Bangalore.
Chaya Singh is a film and TV actress who has started her film career with Kannada films and has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Bhojpuri, Bengali, Telugu and Oriya films. Her debut film was the Kannada film Munnudi in the year 2000. Some of her Kannada films are- Haseena directed by the Kannada director Girish Kasaravelli, Thuntata which is a hit film, Chitte directed by Dinesh Babu and Rowdy Aliya directed by Sai Prakash. She has acted in the Kannada film Chitte which has received the National Film Award for Best Film for the year 2001. Chaya Singh is known for her being selective for her roles. After that she has migrated to Kollywood and has acted in the some Tamil films. The film Thiruda Thirudi in which she has acted was a big hit.
She has acted in a Kannada short film called Simply Kailawesome. This short film won the most prestigious Platinum Remi Award at 44th Annual World Fest Houston International Film Festival. This film revolves around the conversations among playwright T.P. Kailasam and the female protagonists of his four plays. Chaya Singh has acted as all the four characters.
Chaya Singh has also acted in 2 Malayalam films and 2 Bhojpuri films. She has also directed a Bengali movie.
She did supporting roles in some Kannada serials like- Prema Kathegalu and Sarojini for ETV Kannada. She has also acted in a Tamil serial called Nagamma for Sun TV. She is currently acting in the Telugu serial Kanchana Ganga for MAA TV.
...5. Lakshmy Ramakrishnan
The shift from acting to direction is becoming more popular today – with actresses jumping the fence at an increasing rate. Lakshmy Ramakrishna’s first attempt as a director was noticed in ‘Aarohanam’ in 2012 which was lauded by audiences as well as by the critics. The apparent ease with which actor becomes directors is not very popular amongst actresses. Hence, she caught the media attention in India and her second film "Ammini" was based on a 79-year-old woman rag-picker, whom she met in a TV show. When she got this idea, she did not waste her time and narrated the story to producer Ven Govind and felt that the rag-picker woman will remain as a theme of her film. In this film, she also plays a very important role.
Earlier, in 2014, she made another attempt in her directorial venture. She made ‘Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe’ which was based on a journey to Trichy and Karaikal and had dealt with petrol issues witnessed in the society. The film was low budgeted and the film was also appreciated by critics, and could not capture the minds of viewers.
Before making her debut as a director, she had acted in TV serials (Aval in STAR Vijay) and was seen in the reality show ‘Solvathellam Unmai’ in Zee Tamil. She has tried a couple of Tamil films as a supporting actress and even performed extremely well in a film Yuddham Sei, where this noted actress had shaved her head for her lifetime role
Interestingly, the first film that came her way was also by a chance. It was director A. K. Lohithadas, who wanted to use Ramakrishnan's house for shooting his Malayalam film ‘Chakkara Muthu’ (2006). This film gave her first break in a supporting role. Later, she also played Sneha’s mother role in another film and after acting in supporting actress’ role, she stepped behind the camera to direct actors now.
6. Suja Varunee
Suja Varunee is the stage name of Sujatha, who was born in Chennai. She is a supporting actress who has appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kanandam movies. At her young age of 14, she was given an opportunity to act in a film Plus Two. But the film failed and Suja Varunee was left unnoticed as a heroine. She performed in Varnajalam, a Srikanth movie and made her face familiar to the Tamil audience. She turned to an item dancer and was called in many films to perform special songs. She has also acted in maayavi with Surya and Jyotika. When she danced in the Malayalam film Ben Johnson, she became popular.

G Dilli Babu is a well-known film producer working in the Tamil film industry, Kollywood. The projects he invested in include, Urumeen (2015), Maragadha Naanayam (2017), Iravukku Aayiram Kangal (2018), Raatsasan (2018), and Oh My Kadavule (2020). Urumeen is a movie telling a story of reincarnation as the lead man remembers details about his previous life. Reshmi Menon and Bobby Simha are playing prominent roles and the director is Sakthivel Perumalaswamy.
