Kangana Ranaut was born in a Rajput family of Himachal Pradesh. She was a brilliant student and often secured first position in the class. Kangana’s father ‘Amardeep Ranaut’ is business man while her mother is school teacher. Her elder sister is her forewoman. She says that, her parents wanted her to become a doctor but, she flunked in chemistry test of 12th grade, she reconsidered about her career.
Kangana’s film debut in Gangster is quite interesting, Mahesh Bhatt labeled her too young, for the lead role and signed Chitrangada Singh who was not available for the film. Later and Kangana was contracted as replacement for lead character.
