Big fat Indian weddings are one of the favorite topics for Indian cinema per se. However, Maneesh Sharma decided to give it a unique twist, keeping the vibrant Delhi at the center stage in ‘Band Baaja Baaraat.’Â
Looking at the film, nobody can say that this is the work of a debut director. Maneesh Sharma has done a fabulous job, of making a film that is rooted, yet grand and vibrant. The notion of ‘Dilwaalon ki Dilli’ is stamped throughout this film, with glimpses of the capital city generously inserted in many sequences.Â
