Marco Beltrami is an American film composer. He is best known for his score music in horror movies like ‘Mimic,’ ‘The Woman in Black,’ ‘Don't Be Afraid of the Dark,’ ‘Resident Evil.’ He was a part of the movie ‘Scream’ and its franchise in collaboration with Wes Craven. He had been nominated twice for Academy Awards and had won the Satellite Award for Best Original Score. He was born in New York and went to Ward Melville High School. He did his graduation from Brown University. He did his learning in music from Yale School of Music. He later joined the USC Thornton School of Music which is in Los Angeles. He was very acclaimed for his work in the movie. His second project was in 1996 with ‘Scream.’ The movie was directed by Wes Craven and was a huge hit. After his two successful works, he had made up his name in the industry as a composer in thriller, horror and action genre. In 1997, he came up with ‘Mimic.’ His other movies include ‘The Faculty’ in 1998, ‘Joy Ride’ and ‘Angel Eyes’ in 2001. In 2002, he worked with Marilyn Manson in ‘Resident Evil,’ in the same year he came up with ‘Blade II.’ ‘I, Robot’ in 2004 and ‘Red Eye’ in 2005.
