Plot: The plot revolves around the character of Tim Lake. When Tim Lake is aged 21, his father reveals him a secret that he had been holding from him. Tim Lake is astounded as he realizes that he is capable of going through time. Tim knows that what happened cannot be changed. But, certain amends could be made. Tim wants to get a girlfriend. He romances Mary and gets her assent for marriage through his special privilege. But, his privilege cannot save him and his loved ones from the everyday struggle. There is a complex theme in the movie. The complexity is mainly because the plot is about time-travel. Tim, son of Brendan, has restrictions in traveling through time. He can travel to the past and not to future. Also, there are restrictions regarding places he can visit and activities he could perform while traveling to the past. Tim’s desire is not materialistic, but lifelong love.
The movie’s script has been manipulated in a very intelligent manner. Also, lots of effort has been put into the screenplay. The screenplay writer Richard Curtis has come up with novel solutions to every problem that Tim had experienced previously in life. The movie has plenty of good dialogues. The characters are soulful. The movie throws light on frictions in a relationship and how they are set right.
Verdict:Â The movie deserves a high score and plenty of applauses from audiences across the world.
