Pala. Karuppiah

Pala Karuppiah is an Indian actor, Politician, producer, who has also written many books. The artist has predominantly worked in Tamil cinemas, and also produced known-brands’ commercials and advertisements.

He was an active member of the 14th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly through Harbour Constituency from Tamil Nadu. He has written over seven books named “Karunanidhi Enna Kadavulaa,” “Oru Paarvai,” “Kaalam Kizhittha Kodugal,” “Arasiyal Sadhirattangal,” Kaalathin Velippaadu,” “Kannadhassan” and “Ellaigal Neettha Rama Kaadhai.” The books are highly recognized and valued, they consisted of meaningful fiction-insides and were also developed in movies.

The artist has produced over six movies under his banner. His first project was in the year 1983 named “Indru Nee Naalai Naan,” starring Sivakumar and Lakshmi in the lead roles. The story was about a villager finding a beautiful bride for his brother, and later faced many consequences post his brother’s death. The movie was a hit at the Box-Office.

In the year 1985, he produced “ Andha Oru Nimidam Andha Oru Nimidam is a Tamil television show. The story was about the relationship shared between a village girl and a lawyer. Later in 1987, Pala Karuppiah also produced another project “Theertha Karaiyinile,” directed by Manivannan. The story was a musical-drama starring Mohan, Rupini, Janagaraj and Senthil in lead roles. Both the movies were commercial successes.

As a producer, he was a leader who took in-charge of every film aspect and crew. The producer took his project in production “Vaa Vaa Vasanthamey” and directed the same. The film was a success at the Box-Office and he was acknowledged for his work.

The filmography of Karuppiah, as an actor, started in the year 2010 in the movie “Angadi Theru,” in the role of Annachi. The film was directed by Vasanthabalan, starring Mahesh and Anjali in other lead roles. The project ran well at the Box-Office.

Later in 2018, Karuppiah played the character of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in the action/drama movie, “ Sarkar Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Karuppiah played the same character in his next 2019 project “ Action Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” directed by Sundar C, the action-based movie is about an army officer and his life events. Pala Karuppiah has created a legendary mark in the Tamil film industry.
