N L Ganasaraswathi

N L Ganasaraswathi was a known Indian playback singer who sang songs mainly in the Tamil film industry. She also sang songs in Telugu and Malayalam films. During the 1950s and early 1960s, she was active in the field of singing. She sang several songs based on Carnatic music ragas. Most of N L Ganasaraswathi’s songs were used for dance sequences in the movies. 

N L Ganasaraswathi sang three songs for the Tamil film “ Devaki Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” directed by R. S. Mani in 1951. In 1952, she sang “Ravamma Ravamma Ratanala Bomma” song for the Telugu-language film “Naa Illu,” directed by V. Nagayya. In 1954, she sang the “Kanninum Kannaayi Thulithulli Odivae” song for the Malayalam film “Avakasi,” directed by Antony Mitradas and produced by P. Subramaniam. In 1959, she sang three songs for the Tamil-language historical action film “Thalai Koduthaan Thambi,” directed & produced by T. R. Sundaram.
