Veena Mukundan is a familiar anchor in the Malayalam language channels. She studied Bachelor’s of computer science (BCS) at St. Teresa's College in Ernakulam, Kerala. After completing BCS, she chose to pursue a career in journalism, so she pursued a degree in MA Communication from Madras Christian College. Veena thinks that journalism gives freedom to express personal views publicly. When she was working as a TV anchor, she came to know about Manorama Metro Queen Contest. Then she mailed her photographs to the contest, took part in the contest, and won the title. She is also the winner of Metro Queen in 2016. Later she won second prize for the Malayali Manka contest that boosted her confidence, after which she became a popular model.
