R N Krishna Prasad was born in Mysore, Karnataka, in 1929. He was an Kannada Actor , Producer, Cinematographer as well as a Director. He directed a Kannada film which had his young brother R.N. Sudarshan in the lead role. Krishna Prasad has received the Karnataka State Award for Cinematography.
He has also acted in movies like Michael Madana Kama Ranjan as a supporting actor along with his brother. He has also worked in Marmadesan, a Tamil television serial. Sivasakthi is one such movie which gave him immense popularity. He was married to Usha Prasad and had two children. He expired on 17th February, 2012.
