From the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Sundaranath Suvarna worked as a cinematographer in the Kannada film industry. He worked as a cameraman for over 150 Kannada films and produced and directed a few. In honor of their father, his daughters maintain a studio. Amruthavarshini, his first daughter, is in charge of the establishment. The third daughter, Sathyashree, is the most talented and does the majority of the work. She is a philanthropist and donates to cancer societies in honor of their father.

Suvarna worked as a cinematographer on several films, including Sri Manjunatha, Mussanjemathu, Operation Antha, Anuraaga Sangama Anuraaga Sangama is being telecast on Udaya TV at >> Read More... , and Lockup Death. He was also known for his role in the coastal movie industry's record-breaking film Bangar Patler. He was a well-known artist who depicted Tulu culture successfully in his movies. He worked with the Kannada Jnanpith award-winner novelist Shivaram Karanth. The state government also gave him the Rajyothsava Award. Sundaranath Suvarna (Suvarna) works in the Indian film world as a cinematographer, director, and producer. Suvarna has worked in films such as Emergency, Golibar, Bombay Dada, and many others, contributing to Indian cinema. For the film Kallara Santhe, he got the Karnataka State Film Award as the Best Cinematographer.
