Tamil Cartoon Margo The Mouse

Margo, the Mouse is an animated fictional cartoon series which airs on Chithiram TV, a Tamil kids television channel from the Kalaignar TV network. The cartoon was originally made by Studio Filmów Rysunkowych (Poland) and is dubbed in Tamil. The series consists of only one season with thirteen episodes in total with a running time of ten minutes per episode.

It is the story of Margo, the little mouse who resides in a large tree made chalet. Margo has two lovely neighbors, Eliana, which is a squirrel who lives on the top floor, and Dennis, a dormouse that lives in the basement of the big house. They both are Margo’s good friends. But everything is not easy for Margo. She has to deal with many enemies to safeguard herself, her friends, and her house. One day, when Eliana goes to visit her mother because she is sick, Margo has to take care of the house. At night, a sullen owl settles down in Eliana’s house without permission. Then Margo has to think of ways to get her of her friend’s house.

Similarly, on another occasion, Margo prevents a beggar rat from getting in and taking over her house. Whenever she goes out, she has to avoid being eaten by a stork. Margo has many other good friends such as Anna, the sparrow, and Cristophe, the cricket who plays the violin. Each of her friends helps Margo whenever she is in trouble, and Margo, in return, helps them whenever they are in trouble.

Each episode is based on a different adventure of Margo. Some of the titles of these episodes include ‘Margo over the Water’, in which Margo had to cross a river and get on the other side. Then there is an episode named ‘Expedition to the Forest’, where Margo was discovering the deep forest and facing challenges. Another episode is ‘Margo and the Cat’, wherein Margo was trying to rescue herself from being caught by a mischievous cat. Likewise, every episode is based on a certain story from Margo’s life. This cartoon series is very popular all across the world and has been dubbed in many languages. It is a classic children’s show which is broadcasted on many channels even till now. This cartoon series was released in the year 1976. The audience loves the friendly and lovable character of Margo.
