Dom Hemingway is a fantastic film directed by Richard Shepard, the winner of Director’s Guild of America Award. The movie’s trailer shows the life of a man named Dom Hemingway. Dom Hemingway considers himself to be a myth, a legend and that his life is a glorious tale to be told from generation to generation. He joins his friend and celebrates his release from the prison. But he meets with an accident during the revelry. After some time, Dom visits his daughter and realizes how he missed the moments of her childhood. He has some emotional conversations with his son-in-law and grandson. He attempts to be in amicable terms with his daughter, but she is still upset with him. No matter how old he is, Dom is still energetic and is always willing to steal the show. The music in the trailer is very peppy and energetic. The trailer displays the life of Dom in a very precise manner.
The movie plot revolves around the title character Dom Hemingway who is strangely funny but equally profane and dangerous. He gets imprisoned for twelve years for the sake of protecting his boss. After getting released, he joins his friend Dickie to seek compensation from his boss for having stayed quiet. The boss Fontaine gives £ 750,000 to him. A lady Paolina steals and runs away with that money. Dom meets with an accident and nearly misses death while chasing her. After a few days, he visits his daughter’s place in London and tries to reconcile with her after missing twelve years of her precious childhood. His son-in-law and grandson help him. This British crime comedy received mixed reviews from the critics. The audience too gave it mixed reviews due to its ‘’R’’ rating.
