Achu Rajamani belongs from a musical family background as his father and grandfather who was a perfectionist in music was well-known in the Malayalam music industry. They all had music as an extra language. Achu Rajamani was raised around music but he was interested in aviation and wanted to be a pilot but following the family legacy, chose music direction as his profession and quit over aviation.
