He was born in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. At the age of two, their family moved to Hyderabad, so he was grown up in Hyderabad.

He learnt Kathak (Indian classical dance) while he was studying 3rd class. Afterwards he learnt Bangra (dance originating from the Punjab region) extensively for eight years.
