Plot

The movie begins with a scene wherein a writer and a producer approach Raju Shrestha’s character for the narration of a film they wish to make. As he begins his narration, the same story unfolds on the screen. It is a satirical movie wherein the infamous robber Gabbar Singh Click to look into! >> Read More... accompanied by his comrades Kalia and Sambha, comes face to face with Veerappan.   

Star Performance

None of the actors give a stellar performance. To make the audience double over with laughter, the actors perform in a raucous and over-the-top manner. Genuine acting attempts get lost in the loud acting.

Analysis

“Laughter Ke Chapter” is a movie that lost its soul in an attempt to be funny. Even the romance arc is more comedic than it is romantic. The movie editing is also sub-par as even though the movie’s runtime is just 1 hour and 46 minutes, it feels like an eternity as the film fails to keep you engaged. The modern satirical concept with Gabbar and Veerappan in the comedy genre was a great concept that sadly could not be executed to its full potential. 

What’s There?

• A good amount of comedic scenes
• Seasoned actors like Birbal and Mushtaq Khan
• A romance arc is also present
• Treasure hunt concept with the thugs searching for treasure and the cops trying to nab them

What’s Not There?

• Good execution of the plot is not present, the film strays from the plot numerous times
• The actors fail to execute the plot well because of poor acting skills
• Comedy without over-the-top acting is absent which makes the film boring and boisterous

Verdict  

The movie “Laughter Ke Chapter” is a comedy that one can easily skip to save themselves from a plot that is all over the place and acting that is too loud and over-the-top.
