Subhash Ghai is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and producer in the Bollywood film industry. He was born on 24th January 1945 to a family of Punjabis in Nagpur, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. He completed his Higher Secondary education in Delhi and also graduated with a commerce degree from Rohtak, in the state of Haryana. In the year 1963, he joined the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) by moving to Pune, Maharashtra. He got married in 1970 to Mukta Ghai.
