Barney Pudowski wanted to have an interesting and happiest birthday. He wishes his schoolmates to be present at his birthday party. But, his friends are busy with the robots that help them connect with the social networks, and they don't turn by the side of Barney. Barney's dad Graham runs a simple business, and hence he couldn't present his son with a costly gift. But, he tried his best to give a b-bot to his son, like the ones, his friends have. What happened with the b-bot? Was Barney happy? The rest of the film deals with that!
The voice actors had done a fantastic job. Olivia Colman has dubbed her voice for the granny, and it is not recognizable. It fits well for the character. Jack Dylan Grazer lent his voice for Barney, and it is impressive too.
The scriptwriters and directors had concentrated well on the comedy portions, as they are the ones that attract all age groups. They had gained as expected, as the humor worked out well. However, certain jokes didn't go well, as they seemed to be overboard. The animation works are incredible. The film carries a message about the positive and negative sides of social media, and that's a good effort. The music is quite decent, and the editing is good too.
