Sahil Sharaya is a film editor and director of Indian origin. He has established himself in both the film and web series industries. He was born and raised in Chhatehra, Gohana, Haryana, as part of a Jat family. He is the younger brother of Writer-Director Robin Sharaya. After completing his schooling in 2017, Sahil pursued his passion for filmmaking by joining the State Institute of Film and Television in Rohtak, Haryana. His journey began as the First Assistant Director for the film Totaa and later he served as an Associate Director for the web series Mewat (2023) and Pariksha (2023).
One of Sahil Sharaya's notable works is his short film Chhaya (2022), which has garnered recognition at various film festivals, including the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, Chitra Bharati Film Festival, and the Chennai International Documentary and Short Film Festival. This film has received several awards, including the prestigious Best Student Film award. He is also recognized for his contributions to other projects such as Gehu (2021), Weg (2019), Nangi Bheet (Naked Wall) (2019), and Unkahi (2017). Currently, he works as a Video Editor and has studied at the Plc. State University of Performing and Visual Arts in Rohtak, Haryana, India.
