B.K Samant is a well-known Pahadi Folk Singer, Lyricist, and Music Director from Uttarakhand. He was born on 26 June 1982 in Sigda Village near Ghat Lohaghat Nagar Panchayat in Champawat District, Uttarakhand.His father is Shri Kuwar Singh Samant and Mother is Shrimati Parvati Devi.He did his studies from Sigda Village. In 2000, he moved to Mumbai to start his business. He started his own Production house with the name Shree Kuwar Entertainment. Shree Kuwar Entertainment worked to compose music and write songs for Bollywood movies.He compose the music for Tujhme Hi Mera Jahan in Bollywood Movie.

The mountains of Uttarakhand attracted Samant to return to his homeland and started writing his feelings for the mountains. In the SongTu Ae Ja Au Pahad, he addressed the issue of migration. This song was released by Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat. His most famous song is Thal Ki Bazaar, loved by millions of people. In songs like Vyatha Pahad Ki, Kumaun Darshan, and Ye Mero Pahad, he has tried to show the beauty and emotions of Uttarakhand. He has also sung romantic songs such as Meri Bimu, Dor Teri, Doli and Binduli.
