Karishma Manandhar is a well-known director, producer, and politician from Nepal. She was born on 9 June 1974 in Lalitpur, Patan, Nepal. She did her schooling at Shruvatra School in Patan, Nepal. Her father was in the army. She is married to the film director of Nepal, Binod Manandhar. She started her career at 17 and made her debut in the Nepali film Santan in 1988. She has played a role in over 70 movies. Her famous films are Santan, Kasturi, Allare, Bhauju, Manakamana, Truk Driver, Sapana, Dhukdhuki, Basanti, Dhukdhuki, Jindagani, and Papi Manchhe.

She has also done Hindi Movie Danga Fasaad.She was the brand ambassador of the famous beauty brand Lux. She has also been featured in the fashion magazines of Nepal like Navyatu, Nari, and Versatile. Karishma has also produced some movies like Dhukdhuki and Babusaheb. Later, she moved to the United States and stayed there for many years. Karishma returned to Nepal and opened her shooting studio, Godavari. She has also done TV commercials and featured in the advertisement of Dabur Chawanprash. She is active in politics and joined the political party Naya Shakti Nepal.
