Pooja hegde was the second runner up at miss universe India contest 2010. She won Miss India talented 2009 honour.

Director Ashutosh gowarikar’s wife saw the exotic potential within her and thereby suggested her name to her husband. These days the actress is hence busy working for Gowarikar’s next movie, ‘Mohenjo daro’ starring Hritik roshan. The movie is expected to be released in 2016 probably.

Since the very beginning, pooja had taken interest in her mother’s e-commerce business and had worked with her as well.

Buzz is that pooja rejected Mani ratnam’s next movie. She says that her prime focus is in doing the Hindi films these days and so wants a break from the regional movies.
