1. Vimala Velu
Vimala Velu is a Singaporean actress, cancer advocate, and data analyst with a strong Tamil background. She is an M.Sc. graduate with a molecular biology degree. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and her master’s at the Royal Holloway University of London. Her life took a drastic turn when she enrolled herself in ‘Miss Vasantham’, a beauty contest, which was hosted by MediaCorp’s Vasantham Channel.

Bharathi was born on 27th October 1987 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She is an actress, who who works in the Kollywood film industry. Bharathi made her debut on the silver screen in 2003 in the movie Arasu. Bharathi played a small role in the movie. But due to her performance, she was instantly hired for her next film ‘Well Done’ in the same year where again she played a cameo role. After a few more cameos and supporting roles in movies, in 2007 Bharathi was signed on for the role that made her a star, she was signed on to play the lead role in the movie ‘Ammuvagaiya Naan’. Ammu is an orphan who is brought up in a house of sex workers, and she eventually becomes one herself, later in her life she meets a writer who writes a novel on her life, and subsequently falls in love with her and marries her. The movie turned out to be a super-hit.

Shafinah Banu is an Indian actress who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. She is known for serials like “Aram Arivu,” a Tamil TV Serial that was telecasted on Vasantham in 2016, directed by T. T. Dhavamani and T. Sathiamoorthi, produced by Parthiban and Manickam, and Shafinah Banu, Karthick Moorthy, Mathivanan, and Janani Devi played the leading roles, “Azhagiya Thamizh Magal Season 1,” a Singaporean Tamil serial that was telecasted on Vasantham TV in 2016, Vikneswary Se (Gowthami), Bharathi (Radhika Prabhu), Narain, and Leena (Poornima) played the leading roles and Grijisha (Deepika), Prakash, and Shafinah Banu (Deepika’s Teacher) played the supporting roles.

Born in Singapore, Shamini Gunasagar is a young Tamilian actress, a part of the Mediacorp family. Mediacorp is Singapore’s national media network and content creator. Before beginning her career in the media industry, Shamini attended the University of Bradford in England. Later she did her masters in Mass Communication and Media Studies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Through Mediacorp, Shamini has acted on several entertainment projects. In 2015, she was a part of the main cast of an Indian Tamil soap opera series called ‘Ennuyire’. After one season and sixty-two episodes later, the show ended in March 2016. In September 2016, Shamini played the role of Revathy in a soap opera titled ‘Azhagiya Thamizh Magal’ which translates to ‘Beautiful Tamil Girl’.

Vikneswary Se is a well-known TV personality and actress. She is known for her performance in Kollywood films. Vikneswary was born on June 10th, 1985 in Tamil Nadu. She got her bachelor’s degree in engineering from Anna University, Chennai. She then pursued MBA but had to drop out after two years due to her work commitments. She started performing at age five and attended theatre workshops throughout college to sharpen her acting skills. She relocated from India to Malaysia and subsequently to Chennai, where she was successful with her stage work. She married Hamren Ah, a Singaporean, and they have been together since.

Varman Chandra Mohan is an actor who works in the Tollywood industry. Varman has been working for more than a decade as an artist with a demonstrated history of working in the broadcast media industry. Born on May 7th, 1938, in Andhra Pradesh, India, Jamuna Rani is well- known playback vocalist in South Indian movie Industry. She is the daughter of K. Droupathy, a violinist and K. Varadarajulu, an officer of the private firm. She came in contact with Indian cinema, at the age of seven in 1945. She sang a song for Thyagaya, a Telugu film as a child singer. Her first song as an aspiring adult female artist was in a Tamil motion picture Valayapathi of Modern Theatres in 1952.
