Mehak Bamotra is a Punjabi singer. She belongs to Gurdaspur. Her father, Late Mr. Ajay Bamotra, was the Regional Head of the Pathankot Chapter. Her brother, Vishal Bamotra, is the Regional Coordinator of the Pathankot Chapter. She started to learn singing when she was just ten, and she did it for over two years. She participated at the age of 8 and 12 years in Sangam Kala Group. When she participated in it, she ranked 1st in the Amritsar region. She also participated in the finale of the Surtarang National Singing Talent Hunt, New Delhi. All these competitions built her confidence in herself and encouraged her to participate in Indian Idol. She also participated in Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Punjabi and secured the 3rd rank in that show. Gurdas Maan has mentored her like his own daughter in the entire show.
