Aswathy Sasikumar is an Indian writer who has worked in several Malayalam movies. Aswathy was born in the year 1991 at Vellathooval in Idukki district of Kerala. She is an electronics engineer by profession. She started writing stories and poems from her school days. Ashwathy’s collection of stories which was her first piece of work, ‘Josepinte Manam’ which means The Smell of Joseph, received Kendreeya Sahitya Academy Yuva Puraskar in the year 2017.

Aswathy Sasikumar is also a recipient of several awards such as Kerala Sahitya Academy Geetha Hiranyan  Endowment, Kakanadanpuraskaram, Vaikom Muhammed Bashir award, and Kadha Magazine award. Her latest short story collection is ‘Kannu’ which means Eye.

Sugathakumari was a poet born on 22nd January 1934 to Bodheswaran, aka Keshava Pillai, a freedom fighter and Karthiyayini Amma. Her mother is a Sanskrit scholar. Sugathakumari was born and brought up in Aranmula. Sugathakumari has two siblings, an elder sister, Hridayakumari and a younger sister, Sujatha Devi. Sugatha finished her graduation from University College in Trivandrum. She did her PG degree in Philosophy and researched the Comparative Study of the Concept of Moksha in Indian Schools of Philosophy. However, she couldn’t complete her thesis. Sugatha’s first poem got released in 1957. Her book Paathiraapookal grabbed the attention and she won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetry in 1968. Akkitham Achuthan Namboothiri was a social worker, poet and essayist born on 18th march 1926 in Amettikara near Kumaranellur, Palakkad in Kerala. His parents are Amettu Akkithathu Manayil Vasudevan Namboothiri and Checkur Manaykkal Parvathy Antharjanam. Akkitham Narayanan, a popular painter, is his brother. While at school, Akkitham Achuthan learned music, Sanskrit and astrology. After completing his higher secondary classes, he joined a college but didn’t complete his graduation course. His interest in writing made him join Unni Namboothiri magazine as an editor. Akkitham also worked in Mangalodayam and Yogakshemam magazines as an assistant editor. Bipin Balachandran is a Mollywood writer, art historian, cum visual artist from Thiruvananthapuram Taluk, Kerala, India. Bipin did his master’s degree from Vishwa Bharati in art history and is currently serving as a University Lecturer at the Sree Sankar Acharya University of Sanskrit for almost 5 years. He is interested in reading the books like ‘Critique of Dialectical Reason,’ ‘Les Miserables,’ ‘The god of small things and is interested in watching movies like ‘The Ruffian,’ ‘Up and Down,’ ‘Titash Ekti Nadir Naam.’

Alankode Leelakrishnan is a famous Indian poet, writer, and orator from Changaramkulam. Alankode was born on 1 February, 1960. He completed his graduation in Economics from EMS college, Ponnani. Alankode has written a book titled, Nilayude Theerangalilude, and his work was considered important for the country, so a documentary was made, and telecasted on Doordarshan to widen its reach. Alankodes' work was recognized by many.

He was offered to write a story, songs, and screenplay for Malayalam movies. He accepted the offer. Alankodes' other self-written books include Poorakazchakal, P.yude Pranaya Papangal, and Thathrikkuttiyude Smarthavijaram. M T Vasudevan Nair is a renowned writer and director. He is famous for Kadavu, Oru Vadakkan Veergatha, and several other movies. He has written about 54 screenplays for movies and did direction for about seven movies. He has been rewarded by several awards for his direction, screenplay and for his novels.

Nair was born on 9 August 1933, in a small village of Kudallur in Kerala. Vasudevan won his first award at the age of 20 when he wrote a short story in Malayalam for Best Short Story Writing Competition held by The New York Herald Tribune in 1953.
