Sc. in Physics at Pazhassi Raja NSS College in Mattanur. Then, in 1980 she completed her B. Ed at Visvesvaraya College. She worked as a Physics teacher at Shivapuram High School, Kannur. She retired in 2004 and continued her political career. She belongs to CPI (M). In 2018, she was elected as the Central Committee Member of the party. Born on October 31, 1943, in Kottayam, Kerala, Oommen Chandy is a two-time previous Prime Minister of Kerala and an Indian politician. He is the son of Baby Chandy and K.O. Chandy. He got an education at St George in Puthupally. He completed his graduation from CMS in Kottayam and SB College in Changanassery. He got married to Mariamma Oommen.
